Late last month, Samsung released quite a substantial software update for the Galaxy A50, adding features such as Bixby Routines and new Live Focus color effects for the camera and bringing the Galaxy A50 software closer to devices like the Galaxy A70 and the flagship Galaxy S10. Now, Samsung is rolling out a new update for the device, this time focusing on stability improvements.
According to the changelog, the update improves camera picture quality and enhances camera and Wi-Fi stability. The May 2019 security patch is included as well. The Galaxy A50 is a pretty good mid-range phone with plenty to offer, and the newest update should further enhance the user experience for owners of the device. It's currently available in India but should be showing up in more countries in the next few days.
The update is a 153 MB download and comes with software version A505FDDU1ASE2. To check if it's available for your Galaxy A50, navigate to the Settings » Software update menu on the device and tap the Download and install option. Alternatively, just grab the firmware for the new update from our database and upgrade your phone using a Windows PC. You should also be able to update via Samsung's Smart Switch software for Windows and Mac.
