South Korea and the United States were the first two countries to get the 5G variant of Samsung's new flagship. The company had previously confirmed that the device would be out in a handful of other countries over the summer. It has now confirmed that the Galaxy S10 5G UK release will take place on June 7.
Vodafone and EE are the two UK carriers which will begin selling the device on June 7. Their mobile 5G networks will soon go live in the country. The Galaxy S10 5G will also be available for purchase from Samsung's online store. In addition to 5G support, those who purchase this handset also get four rear cameras, a bigger battery, larger display, and faster charging.
Galaxy S10 5G UK release date confirmed
Vodafone has already confirmed that its 5G network will go live in seven cities on July 3rd. EE has previously mentioned the “second half of 2019” as its launch window for 5G. This way, the handset will already be in customers' hands by the time the 5G network goes live. Pre-orders begin May 22nd.
The Galaxy S10 5G will soon be making its way to France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. Samsung is working with local mobile carriers in these countries to get the Galaxy S10 5G out starting next month. The carriers include Deutsche Telekom, EE, Orange, Sunrise, Swisscom, TIM, Telefonica. Pricing and availability information has not yet been made public. Customers in the United Kingdom will get that information once pre-orders open next week.
