The Galaxy S24 series has gone official with version 6.1 of One UI out of the box today, and many have been wondering when the One UI 6.1 update will come to existing Galaxy smartphones and tablets. We exclusively reported that the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get the update in the first quarter of 2024, and now Samsung has confirmed more devices that will get it in the first half of 2024.
Those devices include all the 2023 Samsung flagships, including the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9, according to 9to5Google, and we have been able to confirm it with our own sources as well. Unfortunately, the first half of 2024 is pretty vague and it will be interesting to see if there are any delays compared to previous .1 One UI updates.
It also remains to be seen how many of the Galaxy S24's awesome AI, camera, and other features, which you can check out in the video below, will come to the 2023 flagships. Samsung will hopefully keep most features in, if only as an apology for not extending seven years of updates to any devices launched before the Galaxy S24 series.
