Samsung's been releasing the May security patch for a couple of days now, but the company isn't done with the previous updates yet. While the Galaxy Note 20 is now getting the latest security update, Samsung is also rolling out the April 2021 security patch to an older and not-as-costly device — the Galaxy A70s.
The new update is is rolling out in India and Galaxy A70s owners can identify it by firmware version A707FDDS3CUD1. It's just a security update and it shouldn't include any other extra features or changes to the user experience. However, it hasn't been that long since the Galaxy A70s was updated to Android 11, so that's to be expected, and the majority of users should have already experienced One UI 3.1 and all the new features by now.
As for the May 2021 security patch, Samsung hasn't revealed an official changelog yet so your guess as to what issues it might address is as good as ours. It can't be bad though, so Galaxy A70s owners who haven't received the update notification yet should be able to download the new firmware from the Software update menu inside the Settings app on their phones.
Galaxy A70s owners who may want to skip the wait can visit our firmware archive where we upload official Samsung software regularly. You can download the latest firmware update for the Galaxy A70s in India, and we've also released a new tool that lets our readers check whether their smartphone is running the latest security patch.
