Samsung has an absolute bonkers of a tablet in the pipeline. The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be the most feature-packed spec'd out tablet yet from the company. As things stand, it's expected to be launched early next year.
Information about the flagship tablet has surfaced online in bits and pieces over the past few months. We can now reveal all Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra specs and also shine light on some of the new features it will introduce.
Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra specs are very impressive
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is going to have a massive 14.6-inch notched WQXGA+ display with 6.3mm slim bezels. The notch hides dual 12-megapixel + 12-megapixel ultra-wide selfie cameras. Under the hood you'll find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 coupled with 8, 12 and 16GB of RAM with 128, 256 and 512GB of storage respectively. The tablet will be available with Wi-Fi, LTE/5G connectivity and a chunky 11,200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
It's incredible to see that Samsung has packed so much inside a tablet that's just 5.5mm thin (208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm). The S Pen will attach magnetically to the back where you'll also find a 13-megapixel camera alongside a 6-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will run Android 12 out of the box with One UI 4.1, the next iteration of Samsung's custom skin. It brings new customization and personalization options, an Extra Dim mode to reduce eye strain when using the tablet at night, the ability to adjust app window transparency and to launch apps easily from a taskbar.
DeX for tablet gets a big upgrade with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. DeX Portrait Mode will enable you to convert DeX from landscape to portrait orientation. This will also be the first time that a Galaxy tablet gets a dedicated Samsung Health app. The new app will support in-depth analysis of the health and fitness data with a 3-column layout that suits the large display.
Going by everything we know so far, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will surely be one of the best Samsung tablets we've ever seen. Now it's only a matter of waiting until it hits the market.
