Samsung's released the stable version of Android 12 and One UI 4.0 for pretty much every flagship that's eligible for the upgrade, and it's only natural that the company will start updating its mid-range phones next. The Galaxy A52 is expected to be among the first mid-range Samsung phones to get Android 12, with most markets currently scheduled to get the update in February this year.
But at least one person isn't keen on waiting and is already running the latest version of Android on their Galaxy A52. YouTube channel MoboNews has uploaded a hands-on video of the new software running on a Galaxy A52. We're not sure how they managed to get hold of the firmware; it's likely an unfinished build, though, as Samsung hasn't released anything officially for any of its mid-range phones yet.
From the looks of it, the Galaxy A52 has all of the major Android 12 and One UI 4.0 features, including Material You color theming, the screen dimming accessibility setting, improved privacy controls, an updated camera interface, and even the ability to prolong battery lifespan by limiting maximum charge to 85%.
Exactly when other Galaxy A52 (and A52 5G and A52s) users will get their first major OS upgrade, either in beta or stable form, is a mystery for now. But considering how Samsung's already given the gift of Android 12 and One UI 4.0 to millions of customers in record time, the wait might not be a long one.
We'll keep you posted, and in the meanwhile, you can check out the Galaxy A52 One UI 4.0 hands-on video below (note: it's in Persian).
