Google is adding new features to Android 14 and improving the existing ones with every new beta release. With so many changes coming in, it takes a few days to find them all, and today, 9to5Google has discovered an interesting feature in the operating system. According to the publication, the last two beta versions of Android 14 (Beta 3 and Beta 4) have brought some significant changes to the share sheet (the menu that you see when you click on the share button).

Android 13 shows four options when you share an item. With Android 14 Beta 3, Google has increased that number to five, allowing people to see more sharing options on a single page. Android 14 Beta 4 further improves the share sheet by telling you what action each sharing option will perform. For example, if you copy a URL from a web browser and share it, the OS informs you that you will be sharing a link and shows you its preview as well. Both enhancements make sharing faster, easier, and more convenient.

Android 14 Share Sheet Improvements

Android 14 brings a bunch of new features, and you can check out the most exciting ones in our dedicated article. As for when Samsung will release Android 14 (One UI 6.0) to Galaxy smartphones, we expect it to happen next week. However, the update will be released in beta form, which means only people enrolled in the beta program will get it. Plus, Samsung will roll out the new OS to the latest high-end smartphones first.

Expect the company to release Android 14 to all devices by the end of this year.

In its early days making Android phones, Samsung was popular for throwing everything but the kitchen sink into its software. It was an approach that gained the company millions of fans, but it wasn't an approach appreciated by everyone. Samsung gradually dialled down the number of out-of-the-box functionality customers got when they purchased a Galaxy […]
