Apple is gearing up to launch its Galaxy AI competitor, called Apple Intelligence, at the WDDC 2024 event next week, according to Bloomberg. Apple Intelligence will be an AI system that works across various devices in the Apple ecosystem, but it seems the Cupertino corporation will not be as democratic as Samsung at making its AI features available to its smartphone users.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

iPhone launched before 2023 may not get Apple Intelligence support

Apple Intelligence will reportedly require an iPhone 15 or even an iPhone 16, and Bloomberg suggests that Apple will not bring AI features to older iPhones. Samsung, on the other hand, made virtually the entire Galaxy AI experience available on flagship smartphones launched in 2022 and 2023 following its debut on this year's Galaxy S24 series.

Apple may also focus more on productivity and skip fun features such as generative wallpapers found on Samsung smartphones and tablets. Like Galaxy AI, Apple Intelligence will offer features such as summarizations and reply suggestions.

Other similarities with Galaxy AI could include functionality such as voice recording transcriptions. Apple may also launch a ChatGPT-like chatbot and overhaul Siri to give it more control over apps, and all of this is expected to debut officially on the iPhone and iPad with iOS 18 in the second half of 2024 following a beta release next week.

While Apple prepares to enter the AI race, Samsung is working on making Galaxy AI even more accessible. It will bring Galaxy AI to smartwatches—both existing ones and the new watches coming next month—with the latest version of One UI Watch. On phones, Samsung will bring some features, such as Live Translate, to third-party apps.
