As scheduled, Apple has opened the pre-orders for the Vision Pro in the United States. You can pre-order the mixed reality headset in the country from Apple’s official website. The company will start shipping the product from 2 February 2024.

Up until the pre-orders went live, people thought that the Vision Pro would be available in only one variant. That, however, is not the case. The pre-orders of the product have revealed that the mixed reality headset comes in three storage configurations, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, which cost USD 3,499, USD 3,699, and USD 3,899 respectively.

Apple is also giving you the option to add optical inserts on the displays. The ZEISS Optical Inserts – Readers cost USD 99 and the ZEISS Optical Inserts – Prescription cost USD 149. As usual, you also have the option to get Apple Care+. So a fully-kitted Apple Vision Pro will cost you upwards of USD 4,000, of course, that's without Apple Care+.

Along with it, Apple also released a video that showcases the manufacturing process of the Vision Pro, which looks pretty cool. While the mixed-reality headset has cutting-edge technology, many people who got their hands on the product have found that the headset is heavy and rubs their ears, making them feel uncomfortable. Reportedly, Apple is making only 60,000 to 80,000 units of the Vision Pro for the initial release, which indicates that the company isn’t expecting a lot of people to buy the product.
