Earlier this year, Samsung Display launched its third-generation QD-OLED technology, which brings many improvements over the second-gen tech. We have already seen it in Samsung Electronics’ latest OLED TVs, the S90D and S95D, the company's latest OLED gaming monitors, the Odyssey OLED G6 and Odyssey OLED G8, and in gaming monitors from a few other brands. Now the third-generation technology has made its way into another gaming monitor, the Asus ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG.

Asus has launched the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG. It uses Samsung Display’s 3rd-gen QD-OLED display panel which has a 27-inch size, QHD resolution, 360Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, 250 nits brightness, and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and color accuracy of ΔE<2. It uses Samsung’s Quantum AI algorithm that offers improved durability and power efficiency. The monitor also comes with ROG-exclusive OLED Anti-Flicker. It minimizes fluctuations during refresh-rate fluctuations.

There’s a new heatsink onboard for improved thermal performance. You also get Asus OLED Care+, which offers three-year warranty against burn-in. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, one USB Type-C port with 90W power delivery, and a headphone jack. The stand has a slot on it where you can put your phone, which allows you to easily keep checking it hands-free. Asus says that it will make the monitor available to purchase in October but hasn’t announced its price.
