The Galaxy S9 was made official at Samsung's Unpacked 2018 event at MWC earlier today, and we've seen major carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon announce details on when the S9 and S9+ would go on sale and when pre-orders would start. AT&T has now joined in and revealed that it will start taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on March 2 and make them available for purchase on March 16th. AT&T's pre-order date matches Verizon's; as we've seen in previous years, some pre-order consumers can expect to get the device in their hands before the release date.

AT&T's prices start at $790.20 for the Galaxy S9 and $915 for the S9+ if you buy them outright. If you opt for AT&T's Next plans, you'll need to shell out $26.34 each month for 30 months for the S9 and $30.50 for the S9+. AT&T's DIRECTV service will enable users to stream movies, TV shows, sports, and other media on their Galaxy S9 or S9+; those who opt for the company's unlimited data plans also get access to content from HBO. Game of Thrones on the AKG-tuned stereo speakers and the gorgeous Infinity displays? Not something to scoff at.
The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ come with the latest and greatest specs and features such as a dual aperture camera, slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second, a dual rear camera with 2x zoom on the S9+, AR Emoji for emojis based on your facial expressions, Android 8.0 Oreo with the Samsung Experience 9.0 UX, and iris and facial recognition that work in tandem. The fingerprint sensor is easier to access, and both handsets are water and dust resistant with IP68 certification. The stereo speakers support Dolby Atmos for virtual 360-degree surround sound.
