Samsung has collaborated with BTS in the past, and the ultra-popular K-Pop music band has been associated with popular products like the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Tab S7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. And one of BTS' members, Suga, is likely to make an appearance at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are expected to be unveiled.
It is being reported by The Korea Herald that BTS' Suga and Stray Kids will attend the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 (Part 2) event in Seoul, South Korea, where Samsung will unveil multiple new devices. Since this is Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked event in its home country South Korea, the company wanted BTS' presence there. However, Suga will only attend the event, and no stage performances have been planned. The event will be held at COEX in Seoul, South Korea, at 8 PM KST. During the event, the company is also expected to announce the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 6, and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
Samsung has maintained close ties with BTS, the world's most popular K-Pop music band. BTS members have appeared in events and promotional photos/videos. Earlier this year, the company hinted at a collaboration with Suga by posting his pictures multiple times on social media. Suga also mentioned Samsung products during his first world tour as a solo artist. During the event, he offered to take selfies with his fans but only with Galaxy phones. He was reported saying, “If you offer me a phone, please give me only Galaxy. No iPhone.”
BTS member Jimin also appeared in a video screened at the launch event of the Galaxy S23 Ultra earlier this year in San Francisco, USA. A couple of months ago, BTS announced its indefinite hiatus, so it is possible that Samsung will continue its collaboration with Suga until BTS is back as a band.
