Samsung launched the Camera Assistant app to bring more granular camera controls to Galaxy smartphone users. The app was first released only to the Galaxy S22 series. Now, the company has released an update to the Camera Assistant app that makes it compatible with a lot more Galaxy smartphones.
The latest Camera Assistant app (version 1.1.00.4) is compatible with the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, the app will only be available to these phones once they're updated to One UI 5.1. As we know already, while Samsung has released the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4, not all regions have received the update yet. So, you may have to wait for the One UI 5.1 update before installing the Camera Assistant app on your compatible device. You can download the app from the Galaxy Store.
Samsung recently updated the Camera Assistant app with more features, including the ability to set image sharpness/softness, image capture speed/quality balance, timer options, and quick tap shutter customization. The updated app also features a screen dimming option to help prevent the phone from heating. The app also received a Material You-compatible app icon with the previous update.
The South Korean firm will soon make the app compatible with even more Galaxy smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
