The Galaxy A32 5G is on the quarterly security update schedule, which means that it gets one security update every three months. The last time Samsung offered a security update to the phone was in January. It brought the December 2023 security patch, which is quite old now, making the phone vulnerable to security attacks. Well, the company is taking care of that with a new software update to the device.
The South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the February 2024 security patch, which fixes 72 security issues, to the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy A32 5G, which carries model number SM-A326U. The Build Number of the new firmware is A326USQSCDXB2. Currently, the update is live for devices on Comcast, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile. Phones running on other networks should also get the update soon.
If your Galaxy A32 5G hasn’t notified you about the update, you can check for the new firmware by navigating to Settings > Software update and choosing the Download and install option. You can also download it from our database. Samsung should start rolling out the February 2024 security patch to the carrier-unlocked (SM-A326U1) and international (SM-A326B) variants of the Galaxy A32 5G in the next couple of weeks.
The Galaxy A32 5G came out in 2021 with Android 11 (One UI 3.0). Since then, Samsung has offered Android 12 (One UI 4.0) and Android 13 (One UI 5.0) to the device, Unfortunately, the phone is not eligible to get Android 14 (One UI 6.0), which Samsung started rolling out to other devices last year. If you are worried about the device not getting new OS versions, you can upgrade to the Galaxy A35 5G, which is set to launch today.
