Most carrier networks released that update to the Galaxy A52 5G with an older security patch. The carriers have now started rolling out a new update with the latest security patch.
Galaxy A52 5G's carrier-locked units start getting the January 2024 security update in the US
The new software update for the Galaxy A52 5G brings the January 2024 security patch to the US. The carrier-locked version of the smartphone is getting the new update with firmware version A526USQSCFWL4. According to Samsung's security bulletin, the new update fixes 75 security flaws that were discovered in the previous software version, which means your phone will be more reliable and secure after installing the new update. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements to the smartphone.
If you have the carrier-locked unit of the Galaxy A52 5G, you should check for the new update now. To do that, open the Settings app on your Galaxy A52 5G and navigate to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. Back up all your important data before the process if you choose the manual firmware flashing process, though.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G in early 2021 with Android 11 onboard. Later that year, the device received the Android 12 update. In late 2022, the phone received the Android 13 update.
