Samsung's One UI 4.1 software, which debuted with the Galaxy S22 series last month, started rolling out to the Galaxy S20 series last week. However, the update was limited to South Korea. Now, the new software is rolling out to the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy S20 series in the US.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra comes with firmware version G98xUSQU2FVC5. The update is rolling out to the carrier-locked models in the US. Other variants of the phones will get the update over the next few weeks. The update also brings the March 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 security vulnerabilities.

If you have a carrier-locked version of a Galaxy S20 series smartphone in the US, you can now check for the One UI 4.1 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra One UI 4.1 features

The One UI 4.1 update brings the improved Color Palette feature, Google Duo Live Sharing, Smart Widgets, and an enhanced Gallery app with Reflection Eraser and Shadow Eraser. The image editor also allows you to add portrait effects to any image with a person in it. You can also adjust the lighting in portrait images.

With the new update, Samsung has added the ability to share images and videos as a single link and the feature that turns a picture of scenery into a 24-hour time-lapse video. Smart Switch offers more customizations, and Quick Share lets you share Wi-Fi network credentials with others.

The Samsung Keyboard app now offers language suggestions via Grammarly and more input options and layouts. You can share lost things via SmartThings Find so that you can find them with your friends or family. RAM Plus can be customized in One UI 4.1. Bixby Routines offers the ability to change Galaxy Watch 4 background and other settings.

You can add GIFs from Tenor to AR Emoji and convert real-world objects into 3D stickers. You can change the background color in AR Emoji mask mode. You can even add emojis to calendar entries. Samsung has also included the option to disable GOS (Game Optimization Service) with One UI 4.1.
