Samsung has released the May 2023 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US. This update is for the carrier-locked versions of the foldable phones. Samsung already released the new security update to international and US-unlocked models of these phones a few days ago.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G's carrier-locked model comes with firmware version F707USQS4HWE1. The update is currently available on Sprint and T-Mobile's network in the US. The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is getting the May 2023 security update with firmware version F926USQS3FWE3 in the US on Metro PCS and T-Mobile's networks. Other carriers could release the update within the next few days.

The May 2023 security update brings fixes for over 70 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy phones and tablets. Since this is purely a security update, don't expect to see any new features or improvements after installing the update.
If you have a carrier-locked version of Galaxy Z Flip 5G or Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US, you can now install the new update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
