Samsung releases July 2024 security update to Galaxy Z Fold 3

Now that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is out, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is three generations old. However, that doesn’t mean Samsung is putting it on the back burner. The company has now started rolling out the July 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold 3.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

The July 2024 security patch fixes a total of 58 security issues. The latest security update is live for the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 for the United States, which has the model number SM-F926U1. The software update that brings the July 2024 security patch to this variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, changes the phone’s firmware version to F926U1UES7IXFC.

If you own the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 for the US, you can get the July 2024 security patch by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the firmware from our database and install it manually using Windows PC and Odin. However, we recommend you stick to the OTA update method as it is much safer.
