Introduced with the Galaxy S24 series, Google’s Circle to Search is a very nifty feature, and the company is making it better day by day by adding new features to it. Last week, Google upgraded it with the ‘Share’ feature. Now, the company is adding another feature to Circle to Search that it has been working on since May, the ability to scan barcodes and QR codes.

According to @Mishaal Rahman, Circle to Search can now scan barcodes and QR codes on your screen. For instance, if you are using Samsung Internet to browse a webpage and while doing that, you summon this feature and select the area with a barcode or QR code, it will scan it and show you the information it offers, as you can see in the screenshot below.  The new feature makes Circle to Search a much more useful tool.

Google has been working on this feature since at least May this year, and now, it is rolling out to the public. At the moment, there’s no information if the company is pushing the new feature through an update to the Google app or as a server-side change. Expect Google to consistently keep adding features to Circle to Search. Follow us on Telegram or WhatsApp to stay updated about every new feature in Circle to Search.
