Well, it seems the floodgates are now well and truly open. Samsung's upcoming foldables were pictured in a newly leaked render published by @evleaks just some minutes back, revealing that one of the most anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 3 features may not actually make the cut. Now, another Galaxy Z Fold 3 render has been revealed, and we are getting to see its S Pen in all its glory for the first time.
In case you haven't been keeping track, Samsung's next Galaxy Z Fold flagship will support the company's industry-defining stylus, something rumors have been pointing out for months on end and was confirmed earlier today thanks to the new foldable's FCC certification. We've also seen the Z Fold 3's S Pen in previously leaked images, but that was merely a small glimpse compared to what we're getting to see today.
As you can see in the picture above, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 S Pen has the text “Fold Edition” on the side, but it otherwise seems to have the same design as the S Pen that Samsung sells for the Galaxy S21 Ultra and bundles with its tablets. Yes, it's bigger than the S Pen you get on Galaxy Note smartphones, and that's because the Z Fold 3 won't have a built-in slot to store the stylus. That will probably always be exclusive to the Note series, at least until that series continues to exist (there's no new Note this year, but there will likely be one next year).
The S Pen will likely be a separate purchase, though it could be offered for free to those who pre-order the Z Fold 3. A special case that can hold the S Pen will no doubt be one of the accessory options provided by Samsung, similar to the one that you can buy for the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and its S Pen support?
