Do the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra have microSD card slots?

There was a time when most, if not all, of Samsung's flagship devices used to have microSD card slots. Those days are gone, but fortunately, fans can still find them on Samsung's flagship tablets.

The company has continued to offer microSD card expansion on its high-end tablets, and that hasn't changed for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra announced today.

Both the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra feature a microSD card slot. They support microSD cards of up to 2TB.

The tablets are available with considerable internal storage as well. The Galaxy Tab S12+ is offered with 256GB and 512GB of onboard storage. With expansion of up to 2TB possible through the microSD card slot, users can get some serious storage on their device.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is available with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of onboard storage. That's in addition to external expansion of up to 2TB through the microSD card slot.

It's great to see that Samsung hasn't taken away this option from its flagship tablets. These devices are meant for students, professionals, power users, etc who absolutely have need for storage that's more than the internal capacity.

Support for microSD cards allows those users to quickly and affordably expand the available storage on their device without having to sign up for a cloud storage service.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will go on sale come October 7. Prices start at $1,199.
