It seems like new bits of information about the upcoming One UI 7.0 update leak every day. First, we started the week with news about the Internet and Clock apps for One UI 7.0 leaking online. Then, we got some disappointing news about One UI 7.0 beta testing not starting today. And now, a few new screenshots have leaked to make our wait more bearable.

What you see in the image gallery below (via @chunvn8888) are two screenshots of the alleged One UI 7.0 update. They reveal a few exciting UI changes, but the main takeaway is a new battery charging status pop-up. Instead of plain text, this element looks like a widget. It is much more pleasing to the eye and should be easier to read.

We also see a new charging bar between two redesigned Phone and Camera lock screen icons. And last but not least, the screenshots offer a preview of the new pill-shaped battery indicator in the upper-right corner on the status bar.

What these screenshots can't show is Samsung's allegedly new One UI 7.0 animations. We'll probably have to wait for the beta program to go live before we can take a look at those fabled animation changes.

We like what we've seen so far. One UI 7.0 appears to be an ambitious update that aims to change many things about Samsung's proprietary Android skin. It might be a huge step toward modernizing One UI, and we can't wait to get our hands on it.

We're also looking forward to seeing if and what new Galaxy AI features and upgrades Samsung may have prepared for this upcoming Android 15-based release.

It’s not just Samsung that is delaying Android 15 release

The One UI 7.0 beta update was supposed to be released in July but was delayed. It was expected to be available in late August, but that didn't happen either, as Samsung has decided to wait until more bugs are resolved. Now, it appears that Samsung isn't the only one delaying the release of its […]

Why this small One UI 7.0 change seems like a pretty big deal

Why this small One UI 7.0 change seems like a pretty big deal

As you may have probably heard several times before, the upcoming One UI 7.0 update will change many things about the look and feel of Samsung's proprietary Android skin. But oddly enough, in my eyes, one of the most significant changes One UI 7.0 is supposed to bring is rather inconspicuous. If some of the […]

New One UI 7.0 firmware spotted as development continues

The One UI 7.0 beta update might be coming later than everyone had hoped, but this could mean we'll enjoy a more polished test firmware than usual. Either way, Samsung isn't sitting around not doing anything, and new evidence shows that the company is hard at work developing the firmware. A new One UI 7.0 […]

One UI 7.0 delay will only make its release more exciting

When is One UI 7.0 coming? Well, no one knows. Samsung rarely, if ever, tells us when a new version of One UI will be released. It simply makes the announcement the same day—or a day before—these updates start rolling out. It's the same story for the beta programs the company runs for testing major […]
