Elon Musk, who probably needs no introduction, seems to be very impressed by the Galaxy S23 Ultra's telephoto capabilities. @MKBHD recently posted a short demonstration of the Galaxy S23 Ultra zooming in on the moon at 100x, and the video warranted a reaction from the CEO of SpaceX.
The Tesla, SpaceX, and Boring Company CEO, and now Twitter owner, was impressed enough by MKBHD's “Space Zoom” demonstration to let out a “Wow” on his social media platform — through a tweet that has roughly 7.8 million views as of this writing.

We're not sure if Elon Musk knows a lot about Samsung's latest flagship phone or its cameras, but the demonstration got a positive reaction from him. And, of course, Samsung Mobile US replied to Elon's tweet, taking pride in the S23 Ultra's accomplishments. “I know, right?!” said Samsung in a reply. It's certainly a good look for Samsung's new flagship phone, given the number of fans and followers Elon Musk has.
I know, right?! 😎

In case you're wondering, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features two telephoto cameras, one of which has a 230mm periscope setup. Each telephoto camera has a resolution of 10MP, Dual Pixel PDAF, and optical image stabilization.
One of these units has an f/2.4 aperture and achieves 3x optical zoom. The other has an f/4.9 aperture and 10x optical zoom. Together, these telephoto units can capture photos and videos at 100x zoom.
Samsung also improved the algorithm behind the telephoto cameras, and zoom pictures now have cleaner details than ever before. We'll take a closer look at the Galaxy S23 Ultra's camera capabilities in a future review video, so stay tuned. Until then, you can check out our first impressions and hands-on video below.
If you're as impressed as Elon Musk by the Galaxy S23 Ultra, you can pre-order your flagship from Samsung online. The pre-order window closes on February 17.
