Samsung introduced a groundbreaking privacy feature called Privacy Display with the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year. Due to its practicality and popularity, the company may be planning to bring it to more phones next year, starting with the Galaxy S27 series.

A report from TheElec claims that Samsung has decided to bring Privacy Display to all four Galaxy S27 series models: the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. That’s good news for anyone concerned about shoulder surfing or prying eyes. The feature can prevent others from viewing what’s on your phone’s screen, especially when you’re in a public place.

One of the biggest advantages of Privacy Display is that it is hardware-based. It uses Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel OLED technology to physically limit the light emitted at certain viewing angles, reducing screen visibility for people looking from the side. The feature can be turned on or off whenever needed. You can also configure it to activate only in specific apps or certain areas of the screen, making it much more flexible than third-party privacy screen protectors.

Privacy Display could also make its way to foldable smartphones in the future. Huawei and Xiaomi are reportedly working on similar technologies for their upcoming phones. Huawei has reportedly decided to bring the feature to one of its future foldable phones, while Xiaomi is still evaluating its implementation.
