Samsung's collaboration with Finnish design house Marimekko is going beyond The Frame TV, with the two companies working together to create exclusive accessories for Samsung's mobile devices that contain the design house's iconic motifs.
The partnership between Samsung and Marimekko was announced earlier this year. It brought limited-edition artwork to the Art Store on Samsung's The Frame TV. Marimekko added 40 pieces of artwork, including 30 of its timeless prints.
Samsung x Marimekko partnership expands to accessories
Fresh off the success of their art collaboration, the two companies have now created accessories adorned with Marimekko patterns. These accessories will be available for purchase in the Nordic markets initially starting April 2024.
These accessories have been created for a variety of Samsung's latest devices. They include phone covers for the Galaxy S24 series, cases for the Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds, and even bands for the company's Galaxy Watch.
Marimekko's iconic Unikko floral print, which was created by Maija Isola in 1964, adorns these pieces. This collaboration furthers the design house's aim to expand awareness for its brand and support its growth strategy in markets across the globe.
It's unclear in which countries these accessories will be sold in, but we do know that the Nordic markets are getting them first. Prices haven't been disclosed as well but we can expect to hear more about them in the coming weeks.
