The end of January is drawing close, which means a new security patch is on its way. As usual, Samsung beat Google and is now rolling out the February 2022 security patch ahead of everyone else. The Galaxy Note 20 series happens to be the first to be updated.
For security reasons, Samsung has yet to reveal the changelog, but the point of new security patches is to download and install them as soon as they're available. As of this writing, the latest firmware update featuring the February 2022 security patch is available for the Galaxy Note 20 series in Europe. Or specifically, the Netherlands.
The update is identified by firmware version N98xxXXU3EVA9 and should soon reach the Galaxy Note 20 in additional markets. As always, you can check if the update is available for your phone by referring to our security widget or by opening the Settings app on your device and accessing the Software update menu.
Readers that prefer to skip the wait and install updates manually can find the latest Galaxy Note 20 firmware files in our database, where it's available to download for free. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know when the February 2022 security patch has reached another Galaxy device.
