The first live photos of the upcoming Galaxy A05 have popped up online. The Galaxy A05 will become one of Samsung's most affordable phones of the year, assuming it will be released one year after the Galaxy A04. And leading up to its eventual release, the device was spotted at the National Telecommunications Agency, or Anatel, in Brazil.
Two photos of the Galaxy A05 have emerged from Anatel via Tecnoblog. They show the phone's back and front panels, and unsurprisingly, the device has a flat design with a nearly flat frame, similar to other Galaxy A phones Samsung released this year.
The Galaxy A05 in these photos has a glossy black finish with a stripe pattern on the back panel. It carries two rear-facing cameras, each embedded in its own circular cutout, and an LED flash. The second photo reveals a relatively thick chin at the bottom.
Although you might think the Galaxy A05 has an Infinity-O cutout for the selfie camera, upon closer inspection, the sensor appears to be too close to the bezel, which means it's more likely to be encased in an Infinity-U or Infinity-V notch.

A modest 4G Galaxy phone
Like the Galaxy A04, the sequel will occupy the budget segment. Specifications leaked so far include a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, which should offer better performance than the Helio P35, but still nothing that will shake up the low-cost market. The handset also has 4GB of RAM.
Once again, the phone doesn't have 5G connectivity, or at the very least, a 5G variant has yet to be spotted anywhere. The FCC recently revealed the 4G variant's model number, i.e., SM-A055F.
Other specifications include a 5,000mAh battery confirmed by the FCC, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and Android 13.
There's no official release date for the Galaxy A05 as of this writing, but with all these appearances at regulatory agencies around the world, Samsung is likely gearing up for a release. For reference, the Galaxy A04 was announced in August and released in October 2022.
