Galaxy S25 gets first software update, bringing February 2025 security patch
The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra have started getting their first software updates in South Korea. The new update (585.9MB in download size) comes with firmware version S93xNKSU1AYB3 and includes the February 2025 security patch that fixes dozens of security vulnerabilities.
Looking at the firmware version, it appears that the update doesn't just bring the security patch. It likely also includes performance enhancements or bug fixes. Now that the update has been released in South Korea, we expect it to be released in other countries within the next few hours or days.
If you have a Galaxy S25 series phone, you can keep checking for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Galaxy S25 users expected Samsung to release a bug-fixing and performance-enhancing update for their phones, and Samsung seems to have delivered it. However, it isn't clear what exactly has been improved, and we need to wait for users to experience their phones with the new update installed.
