We knew Samsung had to be working on a new Fan Edition tablet ever since the device popped up in an online benchmark in April. Today, as the clock is ticking on the July 26 Galaxy Unpacked event, the so-called Galaxy Tab S9 FE leaked online for the first time.
The fan-made renders below (via @OnLeaks / MediaPeanut) were supposedly created using leaked dimensions and specs. And according to this data, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE looks nearly identical to the standard Galaxy Tab S9, the latter of which also leaked not long ago.
Galaxy Tab S9 FE might be the cheapest 2023 Samsung tablet with DeX
As you can tell by the screenshots above, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE has one rear-facing camera, and the speaker grilles hint at a stereo speaker configuration. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, on the other hand, has two rear cameras, as seen in its leaked renders. The Tab S9 FE also appears to have a magnetic strip for the S Pen. So did the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, but it wasn't highlighted by the exterior paint finish.
Nevertheless, since these renders may have been created using leaked case dimensions, there's no guarantee whether the magnetic strip will be visible or if it will stay hidden. Regardless, the tablet does seem to have a more up-to-date look compared to the aging Galaxy Tab S7 FE.
Benchmark entries say that the Galaxy Tab S9 FE should employ the Exynos 1380 chip and 6GB of RAM. However, Samsung may have prepared other memory configurations for its next-gen Fan Edition tablet.
