Samsung has released the first Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra software update. These two smartwatches were announced earlier this year and went on sale last week. They are now getting their first software update to fix bugs and improve stability.
Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra software update released
The first software update for the Galaxy Watch 7 comes with firmware version L310XXU1AXG2 and a download size of 173.51MB. The Galaxy Watch Ultra is getting its first update with firmware version L705FXXU1AXFB and a download size of 330.59MB.
If you have any of these smartwatches, you can download the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app, navigating to Watch settings » Watch software update, and tapping Download and install.
The official changelog for these updates mentions bug fixes, device stability improvements, and performance enhancements. The changelog is quite vague, and it likely points towards final improvements to their performance and stability.
What is new with One UI 6.0 Watch update?
The Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra are the world's first smartwatches running Wear OS 5. They run the stable version of One UI 6.0 Watch on top of Wear OS 5. This update brings the new Energy Score feature, custom workout routines, improved sleep tracking, lower power consumption during workout tracking, and Galaxy AI-powered personalized health tips and recommendations.
One UI 6.0 Watch also brings the new Double Pinch gestures for quicker interaction with on-screen content. It also introduces a new font, a smoother charging animation, back and forth gestures, redesigned ongoing activities, the Samsung Find app, and new watch faces.
