Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
Samsung, before it started shipping the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8 to people who had pre-ordered them and opened regular sales of these phones, had provided the devices to media outlets for testing. At that point, the brand released software updates for both phones, which offered stability and reliability upgrades that improved device behavior.
From what we could gather, Samsung shipped these phones to many regular customers with the new firmware already installed. However, some people received these devices with the older firmware. The tech giant is now rolling out the new update to those devices. Currently, Samsung seems to be rolling out the updates in its home country, South Korea, and the US.
The updates for the two phones in both countries are around 637MB in size (varies slightly depending on the region). Below are their firmware versions:
We expect Samsung to release these updates in other regions in the next few days. You can check their availability for your device by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. The two phones are expected to get another update this month that will improve thermal management for better performance.
