Rockstar Games has released the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), an upcoming game in the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, and a sequel to Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5). Apart from confirming the name of the game, the one-minute and thirty-second trailer reveals a lot about GTA 6. It shows Vice City, the place where the game is set, buildings and cars in the metro, and one of the two playable characters in the game, Lucia. Plus, it gives people a hint about the storyline of the title. The trailer also reveals another crucial piece of information which is that Rockstar Games will release GTA 6 in 2025.

GTA 6 trailer was leaked hours before the official release

On December 01, 2023, Rockstar announced that it would release this trailer on December 05, 2023 at 09:00 AM ET. However, a day before the trailer was scheduled to come out, an account on X (formerly Twitter) leaked the video. Rockstar immediately took action and got that account suspended on the social media platform. However, since the video was now out, Rockstar went ahead and published it on the company’s YouTube channel. This isn’t how it was supposed to go. Nonetheless, the trailer of arguably the most anticipated game at the moment is now out. Unfortunately, its release is almost two years away.

According to the press release, GTA 6 will come to Microsoft Xbox Series X|S and Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5). It does not mention anything about the availability of the game for Windows (PCs) but we assume it will arrive on this platform too. Now that the first trailer is out, you can now expect Rockstar to keep releasing more videos of GTA 6 consistently until the game hits the market.
