Yesterday, the Galaxy A01 got its final major Android OS update in the US. Today, the Galaxy A02s is joining the Galaxy A01 in getting the Android 12 update. Yes, the update is a year late, but it's finally here, and it is the last major OS update for the device.
The Galaxy A02s' carrier-unlocked version is getting the Android 12 update in the US with firmware version A025U1UEU1CVK6. The update brings One UI 4.1 Core and the November 2022 security patch. The carrier-locked version of the smartphone received the Android 12 update last month.
If you are using a Galaxy A02s and if you live in the US, you can now download the Android 12 update and install it. You can do that by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy A02s in late 2020 with Android 10 onboard. It is an entry-level smartphone, and it was bound to get just two Android OS updates as opposed to four updates for premium mid-range and high-end phones. It has already received the Android 11 and Android 12 updates.
