Today, Samsung has released new software updates to multiple Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy A31, Galaxy A71 5G, and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. The company has now released a new security update to the Galaxy A02s, an entry-level smartphone that was launched earlier this year.
The Galaxy A02s has started getting a new software update with firmware version A025MUBU2BUH5 in Uruguay. This new software includes the August 2021 security patch, which fixes 40 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update could roll out in other markets over the next few days.
If you own the Galaxy A02s in Uruguay, you might have received the new update already. If you haven't received the update yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also choose to flash the new firmware manually after downloading it from our firmware database.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A02s with Android 10-based One UI 2.5. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update four months ago. The device might get one more Android OS update sometime next year.
