The Galaxy A03 Core, being an ultra-affordable phone, has always received software updates quite late. However, unlike other affordable phones from Samsung, its updates have always been delayed by months. While other Galaxy phones were getting the Android 13 update earlier this year, the Galaxy A03 Core received the Android 12 Go update. Now, the phone has started getting the Android 13 Go update.
This could be the Galaxy A03 Core's last major software update.
Galaxy A03 Core gets Android 13 Go update
The Galaxy A03 Core is getting the Android 13 Go-based One UI 5.1 Core update with firmware version A032FXXU4CWI8. The major software update also brings the smartphone up-to-date with the September 2023 security patch. This new update is currently rolling out in Russia, and we expect it to be released in other countries worldwide pretty soon.
If you have a Galaxy A03 Core and live in Russia, you can now download the Android 13 Go update by heading to Settings » Software update on your phone and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a computer that's running a Windows OS and has the Odin tool installed.
The Android 13 Go update brings some new features, but the main new feature is the ability to receive Google Play System Updates. With this feature, Google can bring new features without the need for a major OS update. It also brings the Material You-based Color Palette feature to the Galaxy A03 Core. Samsung hasn't revealed much about new features or changes the update brings with its official changelog.
