Samsung has released the November 2023 security update to three affordable Galaxy smartphones. The new security update is now available to the Galaxy A03s, Galaxy A21s, and the Galaxy M01. Although the devices have started getting the new update, not every country will get the update at the same time as it is a phased rollout.
Galaxy A03s, Galaxy A21s, and Galaxy M01 get November 2023 security patch
The Galaxy A03s is getting the November 2023 security update in the US with firmware version A037USQU6DWJ3. Note that this update is meant for the carrier-locked Galaxy A03s units in the US, and it is currently available on Verizon's network. The Galaxy A21s is getting the new security update in India with firmware version A217FXXSADWI1. The Galaxy M01 is also getting the November 2023 security update, and it comes with firmware version M015GXXU5CWI1.
If you have a Galaxy A03s in the US, a Galaxy A21s, or a Galaxy M01 in India, you can check for the new software update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you have a computer running Windows OS and the Odin tool.
Samsung is yet to reveal details about the November 2023 security patch. However, it is expected to fix dozens of security flaws found in Samsung's previous software. Some of the issues are usually present in Android, and they are fixed through patches from Google, while some security flaws that are found in One UI are fixed by Samsung.
