Samsung plans to launch two new affordable smartphones before the end of this year, and they are the Galaxy A05 and the Galaxy A05s. Evidence about these two upcoming smartphones started appearing two months ago, and it was revealed that they might look similar to their predecessors. Now, more information about their cameras and other features has been leaked.
The Galaxy A05 carries model number SM-A055F, while the Galaxy A05s has model number SM-A057F. Both smartphones lack 5G connectivity, as both phones feature the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, an upgrade over Galaxy A04s' Exynos 850 processor. Both phones have 4GB RAM in at least one of their models. As you can see in the image below, the Galaxy A05 has a dual-camera setup on the rear, while the Galaxy A05s has a triple-camera setup. Both phones have a 50MP primary camera.
The Galaxy A05s appears to have NFC, which is lacking in the Galaxy A05. Both smartphones have a single loudspeaker, microphone, LED flash, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. Both phones run Android 13 out of the box and may get two or three major Android OS updates. Both phones have a dedicated dual-SIM card slot and a dedicated microSD card slot. Only the Galaxy A05s has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Both smartphones may come powered by a 5,000mAh battery and 15W fast charging. Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy A05 and the Galaxy A05s in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
