Galaxy A06 to launch in India soon, as price gets leaked
The Galaxy A06 (SM-A065F) could have a starting price of INR 9,999 (~$120) in India, according to a new report from 91Mobiles. The entry-level smartphone will come in two variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. The 128GB version of the phone will reportedly be priced at INR 11,499 (~$138).
Since the letter sent to retailers says the price is effective from August 29, 2024, the phone will likely be launched within the next few days. The Galaxy A06 has a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device has a 50MP primary rear camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie camera. It can record 1080p 60fps videos using front and rear cameras.
The Galaxy A06 comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, which doesn't support 5G networks, so you're limited to 4G LTE. Other connectivity features of the phone include GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy A06 runs Android 14 (One UI 6.0) out of the box, and Samsung has promised to offer two major Android OS updates and four years of security updates. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
