The Galaxy A12 Nacho and the Galaxy A03s were two of the many devices from Samsung that received the Android 13 (One UI 5.0) update last month. Now, the company is rolling out the January 2023 security patch to both devices. The latest security update is rolling out to the Galaxy A12 Nacho’s international variant, which carries model number SM-A127F, whereas, the one for the Galaxy A03s is available for the SM-A037G model.
The firmware for the Galaxy A12 Nacho, which brings the January 2023 security patch, comes with version A127FXXS7CWA1. It is currently rolling out in more than twenty countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the UK. The update for the Galaxy A03s comes bearing firmware version A037GXXS2CWA3, and it is available in more than fifty regions, including France and the UK. The January 2023 security patch fixes more than fifty security issues.
If you are a Galaxy A12 Nacho or Galaxy A03s user, your phone should automatically notify you about the latest update when it becomes available for your device. But in some cases, your phone might not alert you about the latest update, and the only way to get it would be to check for the update manually. The Galaxy A12 Nacho and the Galaxy A03s were released in August 2021 with Android 11 (One UI 3.1) onboard. Samsung promised to offer the two phones with two new versions of the OS, and the last software update, which brought Android 13 (One UI 5.0) to these devices, was their last major software update. It means that neither device will get Android 14. However, both of them will keep receiving security updates till 2026.
