The Galaxy A12 keeps checking for the latest software updates, and when one becomes available, the phone notifies you about it. However, if you haven’t received an alert for the latest software update, you can check for it manually by going to Settings » Software updates and clicking on Download and install update. Currently, we don’t have the new firmware in our database but it should become available soon. So, keep an eye out on our firmware section if you want to download the update file and install it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 in 2020 with Android 10 (One UI 2.0). The tech giant promised to offer two new versions of Android to the phone, and it has already rolled out those two updates. Currently, the Galaxy A12 is running on Android 12 (One UI 4.0). Samsung also promised to offer security updates to the device for four years, which means that the Galaxy A12 should keep getting security updates till 2024. Currently, the Galaxy A12 is on the bi-annual security update schedule (it will get two security updates in a year).
