The Galaxy A12 was officially unveiled three months ago, and the phone has made it to a few markets since then. It was revealed a few days ago that the Galaxy A12 could be launched in India later this week. Ahead of the official announcement from Samsung India, the pricing of the upcoming smartphone has been leaked.
According to a new report from 91Mobiles, the Galaxy A12 will be available in two storage variants—64GB and 128GB—in India. The 64GB variant will reportedly cost INR 12,999 (around $179) in India, while the 128GB variant could be priced at INR 13,999 (around $193). If this information is correct, it makes sense to pay INR 1,000 more and go for the 128GB version of the Galaxy A12. It is also being reported that the phone might be launched later today.
The Galaxy A12 sports a 6.5-inch PLS IPS LCD Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution. The phone runs Android 10 with One UI 2 and comes equipped with the MediaTek Helio P35 12nm processor. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It has an 8MP selfie camera and a 48MP+5MP+2MP+2MP quad rear-facing camera setup. It can record 1080p videos using front and rear cameras.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy A12 with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a dual-SIM card slot, GPS, LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and can be fast-charged using a bundled 15W charger. It will be available in four colors: black, blue, red, and white.
