Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A14 5G in the US. A few days ago, the update was released for the global model in several African and Asian countries.
The new update is now available for both carrier-locked and factory-unlocked versions of the phone in the USA.
Galaxy A14 5G gets One UI 6.1 update in the USA
The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A14 5G is getting the One UI 6.1 update in the USA with firmware version A146USQU7DXE1. The factory-unlocked version of the phone is also getting the One UI 6.1 update in the country, and it comes bearing firmware version A146U1UEU7DXE1.
The new update has a download size of 1.7GB and many new features. However, the phone hasn't received a newer security patch. It is still using the April 2024 security patch. If you have a Galaxy A14 5G and live in the US, you can download the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install.
Alternatively, from our firmware database, you can download the new firmware file (mentioned above, appropriate to your Galaxy A14 5G's model number). Once you download it, you can flash it manually using a computer running the Windows operating system and having the Odin tool installed.
Galaxy A14 5G One UI 6.1 update features
The One UI 6.1 update brings the ability to copy an object or a subject from one image and paste it into another image. This feature only works in the default Gallery app on the Galaxy A14 5G. The search quality in the Gallery app has improved with the new update.

You can decorate the wallpaper on your Galaxy A14 5G using effects and frames. One of the effects includes the background blur effect for wallpapers that contain people or pets. You can customize the lock screen clock widget using custom fonts. You can also change the position of the lock screen clock widget.
Alerts for alarms and reminders can be customized. Alarm alerts can include AR Emojis, images, and videos. You can even change the layout of where the alarm name and information appears. Reminder alerts can have a custom color or background.
In the stock Calendar app, you can add up to two custom stickers per day. You can set custom backgrounds and colors for full-screen calendar alerts. In the Reminder app, you can edit each category's icon and pin categories for quicker access. You can turn off/on Modes from the home screen and reorder Modes.
One UI 6.1 also brings the new version of Quick Share (merged with Nearby Share) to the Galaxy A14 5G. You can locate your lost or stolen Samsung devices using the Samsung Find app. This app can also be used to share your location with your family members or get their location.
Samsung Internet now lets you sync tab groups across all your phones and tablets signed into the same Samsung account.
Samsung Health now lets you compete with your own records during workouts. You can also choose custom daily activity targets. Female health cycle tracking can now also include mood and physical symptom information.
The Weather app's widget now shows more information and forecast conditions. One UI 6.1 allows the ability to input text using voice without hiding the Samsung Keyboard. You can open all minimized apps at once when you have more than one app in the pop-up window mode.
One UI 6.1 also has more battery health protection options. The Finder section in One UI 6.1 brings matching search results from the internet through Google Search.
