Samsung will start rolling out Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to eligible Galaxy phones and tablets on 7 April 2025. One of the devices eligible for that update is the Galaxy A15 5G. However, considering that the brand will initially offer it to new and high-end devices and then to older and more affordable models, the Galaxy A15 5G may not get the update anytime soon.

In the meantime, the South Korean tech giant is rolling out another update to the Galaxy A15 5G. It offers the March 2025 security patch that fixes many security issues. For now, Samsung has made it available for the variant of the device that it sells mainly in Asia and the Middle East and carries model number SM-A156E. The new firmware has version A156EDXS5BYB1.

Updating your Galaxy A15 5G to the latest firmware is very simple. Just go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Before installing the update make sure to charge the battery to the full to avoid any interruptions with the installation process.

This is probably the last software update for the Galaxy A15 5G before Samsung releases One UI 7.0. Speaking of which, it will bring a redesigned UI, new features, and smoother animations. The phone may also get Android 16-based One UI 8.0.
