Galaxy A15 5G gets One UI 6.1 update in the US

Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update to the factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A15 5G in the US. The 1.8GB update carries firmware version A156U1UEU1BXDB and includes the April 2024 security patch.

If you have a factory-unlocked Galaxy A15 5G in the US, you can download and install the new update by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

One UI 6.1 features for Galaxy A15 5G

The One UI 6.1 update brings improved image editing features, including copying an object from one image and pasting it into another in the Gallery app using the clipboard. It also improves the search quality within the Gallery app.

You can apply frames and effects to wallpapers. You can apply a depth-of-field effect to wallpapers consisting of people or pets. There are new widgets for the lock screen.

You can watch most of these new features in our video below.

You can deeply customize alarm and reminder alerts. For alarms, you can use AR emojis, images, and videos. For reminder alerts, you can add custom backgrounds and colors and even adjust the placement of content.

One UI 6.1 lets you add more personalization to the Calendar app through custom stickers (up to two supported). The Calendar app's settings page has also been revamped. You can edit the icon for reminder categories and even pin categories to the top of the app.

The new version of One UI allows you to reorder Modes, turn off/on Modes from the home screen, and use new conditions for Routines. There is a new version of Quick Share (merged with Google's Nearby Share).

Using the new Samsung Find app, you can locate compatible lost or stolen devices. You can also use the app to share your location with family and friends or see their location.

The Samsung Internet app now supports synchronizing web browser tab groups with other Galaxy devices using the same Samsung account.

Data stored in Samsung Cloud is now protected using end-to-end encryption. Samsung Wallet now supports passkey for easier and more secure signing into apps and websites.

Samsung Health now lets you compete with yourself through your past records. You can also select custom daily activity targets. For female health tracking, users can add physical symptoms and mood data.

The widget for the stock Weather app now shows more forecast information in your area. You can enter text using your voice without hiding the Samsung Keyboard.

One UI 6.1 lets you open all minimized apps at once. The Finder screen now shows matching search results from the internet through Google Search. One UI 6.1 also brings more battery health protection options.
