The design of Samsung’s upcoming entry-level phone, the Galaxy A18, has surfaced online. CAD-based renders of the phone have been published, revealing that Samsung still isn’t ready to retire its aging display design this year.

According to CAD-based renders published by OnLeaks in collaboration with SmartphoneChecker, the Galaxy A18 will feature a 6.7-inch display with a U-shaped display cutout for the front-facing camera. This design makes the phone look dated. While Samsung dropped it from the Galaxy A2x series this year, starting with the Galaxy A27, it will reportedly continue using it in the Galaxy A0x and Galaxy A1x series.

The Galaxy A18 reportedly measures around 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84mm and features a triple rear camera setup. It also retains Samsung’s Key Island design, which debuted two years ago. The phone is expected to come in both 4G LTE and 5G variants. The 4G model could use a MediaTek processor, while the 5G version is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip.

Since the Galaxy A17 launched in August last year, the Galaxy A18 is expected to debut around the same time this year. It is also rumored to feature a 5,000mAh battery. Due to rising memory chip prices, the Galaxy A18 could launch at a higher price than the Galaxy A17.
