Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra's software update
Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy A18, its latest smartphone in the Galaxy A series. Now, exactly a month later, the brand has released the first software update for the phone.
It brings the October 2026 security patch, which fixes 62 security issues. The brand seems to have released the update globally, with the 4G/LTE model in Thailand being the first to get it.
The update carries firmware version A185GXXS1AZJ1. You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
The Galaxy A18 was one of the first phones after the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip to launch with One UI 9.0 (Android 17). The brand has promised to offer it six major OS upgrades and six years of security updates. That means it is eligible to get the company’s next custom Android interface, One UI 9.5.
