Samsung has released the Android 13 update to the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A23 5G in the US. The unlocked version of the smartphone received the Android 13 update toward the end of December 2022, while the international variant of the phone got the update in early December 2022.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy A23 5G's carrier-locked version comes with firmware version A236USQS1BWA2. The update also brings the January 2023 security patch that fixes various security vulnerabilities, including the ones related to Samsung Knox and Secure Folder. The update is currently available on T-Mobile's network and could come to other networks soon.

If you are a Galaxy A23 5G user in the US and have a carrier-locked version of the device, you can download the Android 13 update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A23 5G last year with Android 12 onboard. Now that it has received the Android 13 update, it will get three more Android OS updates in the future.
