After releasing the June 2023 security update to some high-end and mid-range phones, Samsung has released the new security update to two more mid-range devices. The Galaxy A23 and the Galaxy A52 have started getting the June 2023 security update in Europe and Latin America, respectively.
Galaxy A23, Galaxy A52 June 2023 security update: What's new?
The Galaxy A23 is getting a new update in Germany with firmware version A235FXXU3CWE4. The Galaxy A52 is getting the new security update with firmware version A525MUBS6DWE2 in Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, and Trinidad & Tobago. Other markets will gain access to these updates over the next few weeks. According to Samsung, the June 2023 security update fixes over 60 security flaws found in Galaxy phones and tablets.
If you have a Galaxy A23 or a Galaxy A52 in the countries mentioned above, you can install the new update right away. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin software tool.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A23 last year with Android 12 onboard. It has already received the Android 13 update late last year. The Galaxy A52 was launched with Android 11 onboard in 2021. The phone received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. Both phones will get the Android 14 update later this year.
