Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A23, and it is surprising to see the company release its newest security update to a lower mid-range phone ahead of many high-end ones. It brings the May 2023 security patch to the smartphone and is available in some Asian and European countries.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A23 bumps up the phone's firmware version to A235FXXS2CWD1. It is currently available in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Ukraine. We expect the update to expand to more countries worldwide within the next few weeks.
The new update brings the May 2023 security patch that Samsung says fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update might also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you have a Galaxy A23 and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually using a Windows PC.
