Samsung is expanding the reach of its latest security update. The newest Galaxy smartphone to receive the August 2022 security update is the Galaxy A33 5G. The device now has access to the update in various Asian countries. Other regions could also soon get the new software.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A33 5G comes with firmware version A3360ZHU3AVGA in Hong Kong, A336EDXU3AVH1 in Vietnam, and A336NKSU1AVH1 in South Korea. The new software update brings the August 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities, including the ones related to Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, improper access control, and MAC address leaks via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
If you are a Galaxy A33 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the newest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware file for your specific Galaxy A33 5G model and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A33 5G earlier this year with Android 12-based One UI 4 on board. The smartphone will get at least four major Android OS updates and up to five years of security updates.
